Fishers Green Consortium, Fishers Green, Waltham Abbey

The Fishers Green Consortium was formed in 2010 taking over the control of the venue after Cemex Angling, following a successful bid to the owners the Lea Valley Regional Parks

The Member Clubs being; Kings Arms & Cheshunt Angling Society, Hertford Angling Society, Holow Angling Society, Metropolitan Police Angling Society, Palmers Green Angling Society, Potters Bar & District Angling Club, Red Spinners Angling Society, Verulam Angling Club and Ware Angling Club.

The Fishers Green Complex consists of the River Lea at Fishers Green, Hooks Marsh Lake, Seventy Acre Lake a small part of Langridge Lake and the Relief Channel. (see map)

Hooks Marsh – A good tench venue with the chance of a double figure fish, some large bream and Carp can also be caught. There are also shoals of roach and Pike fishing in the winter can be productive.
Night Fishing is allowed. All year fishery

Seventy Acre Lake – This is linked to Hooks Marsh with similar catches. Described as more scenic than Hooks Marsh.
Night Fishing is allowed. All year fishery

Angling is the southern end of the lake as indicated on the map. Carp, Bream and Tench present. Pike in the winter.
Night fishing is allowed. All year fishery

River Lea – A noted Barbel stretch of water. Chub fishing is also very productive.
No night fishing allowed – River is subject to the close season.

Relief Channel – Fishes well for roach and bream, occasional Carp are caught.
No night fishing – River is subject to the close season
